Emma Jean
About Emma
Emma Jean (she/her) is a New York based actor, singer, artist, and award winning writer. Originally from South Carolina she is a proud descendant of Swiss immigrants and a true New Yorker at heart.
Once called a "janky set of keys" by an acting teacher, Emma is confidently the off-kilter, warm hearted, sometimes pedantic, sometimes scrappy young woman found in most television shows and films today. Think: Am I Ok?, Euphoria, Ozark, The Morning Show, Hacks, Stranger Things, Shameless and Mare of Easttown. Emma is passionate about telling stories that make the unseen seen. She desires to focus on the complex relationships that exist between women of all ages, races, ethnicities, sexualities, and cultures in order to highlight their power, their sensitivity, their dynamism, and their hearts. Emma also hopes to be a part of projects that celebrate mental health, accessibility and queerness. Three issues close to her heart.
When she isn’t working, Emma can often be found in nature or traveling accompanied by a good book. The Ten Thousand Doors of January is her current favorite. She's frequently close to a bike, place to swim, ice skating rink, or guitar. If not, Emma is likely theorizing about The X-Files or rewatching Killing Eve for the fifteenth time. She adores cooking for, and with, those she loves and will never pass up an opportunity to share her favorite Swiss dishes she learned from her Oma. Come on over!
